The membership committee engages with current and perspective members. The purpose of this committee is to ensure that the Section continues to grow by looking at ways to attract new members while maintaining our current membership.

Communications Committee
The Communications Committee leads our Section’s interaction with the highway industry and our section membership. This committee leads the efforts of preparing articles for the ASHE Scanner, interacting with other professional societies, maintaining an online presence on social media outlets and this website, and distribution of information to the public for ASHE events and initiatives.

Program/Technical/Social Committee
The Program/Technical/Social Committee is responsible for obtaining information on technical advancements in the planning, design, construction, maintenance, and operation aspects of the highway industry, distributing such information to the section membership, and planning social events. This committee is also responsible for the technical programs at Section meetings.

Constitution and Bylaws Committee
Constitution and By-Laws Committee establishes and maintains the Section By-Laws and makes sure they are in agreement with the National Constitution and By-Laws.

Scholarship Committee
The Scholarship Committee helps to raise and distribute money for scholarships for college and univerisity engineering students within Tennessee. The Annual ASHE Tennessee Valley Golf Tournament in the Fall provides most of the scholarship money.
